Information for International Patients

About Interpretation and Communication

  • For the provision of safe medical care, you must be accompanied by someone who can communicate in Japanese.
  • When explaining medical procedures and obtaining consent, clear communication is essential. Therefore, we require you to be accompanied by someone who can interpret.
  • For patient safety reasons, please understand that we may decline to provide treatment or examination if proper communication cannot be established, from a risk management perspective.

Pre-examination Requirements

Our clinic requires verification of photo ID and health insurance card at the time of registration.
Please note that except in emergencies, we may not be able to provide treatment if we cannot verify your identity with a photo ID.

Required Documents
  • Photo ID (Driver’s license, Residence card, Passport, etc.)
  • Health Insurance Card
  • Medication Notebook (if you are currently taking any medications)

Reasons for Photo ID Verification

We verify photo IDs to prevent serious accidents due to patient misidentification and because the Immigration Services Agency of Japan recommends verification of residence status.

Payment Information

Payment is required on the same day after treatment.
Insurance-covered treatment must be paid in cash only, while self-paid medical care can be paid by credit card.
Patients without health insurance will be charged the full amount (self-paid medical care).
